Time limit
There are no rounds or time limits to a fight.
Strikes
All strikes are permitted to any part of the anatomy. These include strikes banned in most other competitions including head butts, strikes to the groin, strikes to the joints and spine, strikes to a downed opponent, soccer kicks, and strikes to the back of the head.
Grappling
All throws and takedowns are legal, all submissions are legal. Biting, eye gouging and fish hooks are all legal.
How to win
By knocking out your opponent, by making your opponent tap out or verbally submit or by the referee calling a stop to the fight. Referees decision is final.
Clothing
All fight clothing will be supplied. Men will wear shorts and spats if so desired and can choose to wear a T-shirt or rash guard that will be provided.
Women will wear shorts and either a gym bra, T-shirt or rash guard. Again these will all be provided
Footwear
Combatants can choose to be barefoot or wear trainers, wrestling / boxing / sambo boots. Any footwear must have no hard external fixings and have no protective (steel toecaps) or reinforced soles. All footwear must be tied securely as no break will be called in the fight if a trainer or boot comes off.
Protection
No protection is permitted apart from the following optional things;
Hand wraps, no wraps are to cover the knuckle and will be supplied and wrapped by a UGFC official.
Gum shields are optional.
Groin guards are optional.
